3 Accessories You Need For Your Scooter

If you’ve recently purchased a new scooter, you’re probably pretty eager to hit the road with your new vehicle. Helmet 

While scooters are far from the most dangerous vehicles on the road, that doesn’t mean you can hop on your model without any protection or safety gear. While it’s your choice whether or not to purchase a riding jacket or gloves to protect you while you ride, a helmet is typically required by law in most states. We recommend purchasing a model that’s been approved by the U.S. department of transportation, and offers some sort of eye protection. 

Locks

Theft can be a real problem—especially in larger cities— so you’ll want to purchase a lock for your scooter to help deter thieves. While one lock is sufficient, we recommend buying two of different types. This way, even if someone is able to get the first lock off, they probably won’t have the time or correct tools to remove the second. 

Storage 

Scooters provide little to no storage, making it difficult to travel with important items or small loads of cargo. However, you can purchase a variety of storage accessories to safely keep your things in while you ride. This can be as simple as a durable backpack you wear during rides, or a separate storage container you attach to your scooter.
